This refers to the editorial (‘Citi can sleep — in peace’, November 25). The $326 billion bailout package from the US government to the banking giant Citigroup Inc is well-timed and this will definitely inject more strength into the financial structure of the bank.

As a result, global markets have now started soaring. The US government has based its actions on the axiom that a-stitch-in-time-saves-nine. All credit goes to the US government for its bold steps towards bailing out the world’s most valuable bank.
