Letters: Is this Kerala?

This refers to Mahesh Vyas’ “Kerala is actually No 1”. It is doubtful whether the writer is aware of the ground realities.

Vyas writes that Kerala has fewer state-wide bandhs compared to West Bengal. State-wide hartals should not be the yardstick — most hartals in Kerala are district-wide. Also, it is strange how the author came up with the statement that most Malayalis do not have a great opinion of the rest of the country. Great care should be taken while publishing such articles.
