Letters: Office habits die hard

Explore Business Standard

The column “Standing instructions” (Swot, May 10) was interesting and informative. In government offices, too, there was no distinction between men and women standing up when a senior walked in. But at house parties, the ladies did not have to get up. In the event, nobody followed this distinction and ladies did stand up when a senior officer walked into a house party because they could not forget the office relationship!
