Letters: The bane of business

Explore Business Standard

Ohio’s move to ban outsourcing and back-office projects to offshore destinations like India is disturbing. In fact, the move lacks business intelligence.
The fact is that in this fast-growing global environment, companies cannot carry out all their business activities on their own for reasons such as cost and profits. So, the outsourcing of jobs to other countries has become the axis of business ethics today. Outsourcing contracts not only helps business houses earn fame overseas but it also gives them an opportunity to engage in expansionist activities abroad.
Instead of adopting economic policies like protectionist measures, business houses across the world would do well to tackle bigger issues like unemployment and financial crisis.
