During his presentation on the Lok Pal Bill and similar anti-corruption laws of Britain, at the recent meeting of the standing committee on personnel, public grievance, law and justice, Central Vigilance Commissioner Pradeep Kumar kept emphasising on how India could use the British laws. While most standing committee members were attentively listening — as the presentation had been cancelled earlier and also because the crucial Lok Pal Bill may be presented in the winter session of the Parliament — Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav interrupted and suggested that all MPs should plan a visit to London to get a first-hand experience of the law and discuss with the British authorities.
