Chhattisgarh's Congress strongman Ajit Jogi is contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from Mahasamund. Against him, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has pitted one Chandulal Sahu. Soon after the BJP candidate's name was announced, 11 more Chandulals filed their nomination papers for the same seat. Not unnaturally, the BJP has claimed that the multiple Chandulals owe their existence to the Congress as a ruse for splitting the vote. BJP leaders have even demanded the other Chandulals make a public appearance, alleging that they have all gone missing after filing their nomination papers.
