The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of taking bribe while he was the chief minister of Gujarat. This accusation came to light with a tweet from the party's official Twitter handle.

The party claims that Modi received an amount of Rs 25 crore from Aditya Birla Group to clear some of its projects. The party claimed to have found a record of transaction in a laptop during an Income-Tax raid on Aditya Birla group's Delhi office on 25 October, 2013. It further says that an email dated 16 November, 2012, contains the information proving it.

An ANI tweet quoted Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as saying, "For the first time in history of independent India, a sitting PM's name has come in black money transactions."
