The piles of arms and ammunition were recovered from an area between Sondaha and Dumri villages of the district, Inspector General of Police (Operation) Amit Kumar told PTI.
Giving details of recovered items, the IG said 5055 cartridges have been seized in addition to 1800 0.315 rifles, 900 pistols, 250 0.22 bore, six revolvers and 2 AK 47 magazines.
