Commercial Engineers & Body Builders Co Ltd, one of the leading designers and manufacturers of vehicle bodies for commercial vehicles in India, today announced that it has received clearance from RDSO to manufacture wagons at its new railway wagon plant at Imlai village, near Deori railway station in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.
After conducting an initial audit of the company’s new railway wagon unit, the Research Designs & Standards Organisation (RDSO) cleared the said plant under G 105 Standard to manufacture Category I (Open/Flat/Hooper) and Category III (Covered) wagons.
The clearance makes CEBBCO eligible to bid for wagons in the next tender to be issued by the railways.
CEBBCO’s new railway wagon plant is a result of the company’s endeavour to expand its product offerings in the railways division to include the manufacture of new wagons, EMU coaches and components for LHB coaches.
