The brand has been winning accolades at International Quality Awards at Monde Selection, International Spirits Challenge and International Wine & Spirit Competition over the years. It has been one of the top selling brands in the Military over the years and has now achieved the number one position. It has clocked an all India total sales (inclusive of Civil + Military) of 2.35 million cases in the year 2007-08. A millionaire brand Contessa Rum has 23% market share in the defence sector.
