Greenwood High is proud to announce the successful completion of its International Baccalaureate (IB) authorization. It has been awarded the status of an IB World School by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), Geneva. The school will offer the two year IB Diploma Programme from the next academic session (July 2011) onwards.

Commenting upon this success, Trustee Mrs. Niru Agarwal says, “Our biggest asset is our team of well qualified, IB trained faculty, most of who are examiners. The school is fully equipped to run the IB programme with its excellent infrastructure and resources.”

Greenwood High, which as its motto goes, is strongly “rooted in knowledge” was founded in 2004. Nestled in the greenery of Koramangala, this sapling has grown into the strong Banyan Tree that it has now come to be. It is a proud school with the spacious campus on the Varthur-Sarjapur Road that offers both the national (ICSE) and international curricula. The school also runs the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) programme- IGCSE at the grade 9 and 10 level and AS/A Level courses at the 11th and 12th levels. Mr.Aloysius D’Mello, Principal of Greenwood High is elated that the school can now also offer the IB Diploma Programme. In his words,”It is an achievement to be able to run the national and international curricula simultaneously. The teacher-student ratio is our strongest asset, ensuring a safe and happy learning environment tailored to suit individual student needs.”

Greenwood High, believes in the holistic development of its students and hence strives to mould body, mind and soul. Education is not confined to the regular classroom but extends itself to experiential learning in the form of a well planned internship programme, regular field-trips. The school intends to offer SAT and AIEEE coaching, so that students can get placed in reputed Universities and Colleges both in India and abroad.

An entrance test and interview will be conducted on the 16th of April 2011 in the main School campus for students opting for the IB Diploma Programme.
