1 more held in killing of Congress leader in Baran

One more person was arrested in connection with the killing of a local Congress leader and the vehicle reportedly used in committing the crime also seized.
"Ramdhan Balai, the driver and one of accused in the case was arrested last night and the vehicle used was also seized," Baran SP D D Singh said.
"Mahendra Pal Singh has already been arrested in the matter and efforts are on to nab the other accused," he said.
Sonu Goyal (33), Congress' block general secretary and husband of Belkhedadang gram panchyat sarpanch, was on Saturday evening attacked with sticks and iron rods by about 10 people, police said.

He was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
Baran BJP district chief Naresh Sikerwal, Virendra Singh, Brijpal Singh, Mahendra Pal Singh, Inderpal Singh, Rahgav and Gourav was booked in this connection under various sections of IPC including 302, SHO of Kasbathana Police Station Umesh Menariya had said, adding among them, Mahendra Pal Singh was arrested.
Meanwhile, family members of the deceased along with Congress leaders continued their dharna at Baran city for the third day today demanding immediate arrest of all the accused including the BJP district chief and a CBI inquiry into the matter.
The family of the deceased Congress leader has refused to cremate him till all accused are arrested and a proper probe conducted, the SP said.
