This was stated by Law Minister Arun Kumar Sahoo while replying to a written question of BJP member Dilip Ray.
Of the 1,68,003 cases in the High Court, 1,27,573 were civil cases while remaining 40,430 cases were criminal in nature, the minister said adding that 32,284 civil cases were pending for disposal since over 10 years.
Similarly, 7369 criminal cases remained in the High Court since a decade.
The minister also informed the Assembly that the number of civil cases pending for disposal since a decade in lower courts were 23,367.
