14 new judges administered oath in Punjab & Haryana HC

Fourteen judges were administered oath as judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court by the acting Chief Justice S J Vazifdar here.
These include Justice Rekha Mittal, Justice Inderjit Singh, Justice Amol Rattan Singh, Justice Dr Bharat Bhushan Parsoon and Justice Anita Chaudhry among others, an official spokesman said here.
After taking oath, they will now perform their duties as permanent judges of the High Court, the spokesman said.
Now, the strength of the judges in Punjab and Haryana High Court has risen to 56.
The 14 judges were earlier working as Additional Judges of Punjab and Haryana High Court.

The swearing-in ceremony, held in High Court Auditorium, was attended by sitting and retired judges, senior advocates, family members of the judges and other distinguished guests.
