Singh held a detailed meeting with Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel in Gandhinagar to discuss the arrangements for Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas to be held at Mahatma Mandir between January 7 and January 9 next year, according to an official press release issued here.
He held detailed discussions with Patel and other key officials about ongoing prepartions for the event. He also visited the venue and took stock of preparations currently underway at Mahatma Mandir for the event.
Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is being organised for the first time in Gujarat and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the event on January 8. Singh is also scheduled to accompany Modi for the event.
