The deceased has been identified as Chintan, police said, adding he was living with his family in Sidharth Nagar area of the district.
"The incident took place this morning when he was crossing the road," a police officer said.
The bus driver managed to flee after the accident.
Police have seized the bus and launched a manhunt to nab the driver, the officer added.
