The Commission, headed by its Chairman Y V Reddy, held consultative meeting with the Chief Minister, her cabinet colleagues -- Chief Secretary Rajeev Mahrishi and Additional Secretary (Finance) Subhash Chandra Garg -- who made a representation, official sources said.
Raje told reporters that the Finance Commission praised the state government's memorandum.
It was a very good discussion and involved exchange of formulations between the Commission and the state government officials, she added.
"It is hoped that Finance Commission would give a very good recommendation to Rajasthan", Rathore said.
The Commission is likely to hold talks with Congress party leaders, members of industrial and commerce sector as well, sources added.
