17 school students fall ill after having mid-day meal

Seventeen students of a government primary school in Nawada district of Bihar fell ill today after consuming mid-day meal.
Nawada Sadar Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Rajesh Kumar said the incident happened at Bajpur Primary School under Warsaliganj police station of the district.
"The students started vomiting after having mid-day meal. They were immediately rushed to a Primary Health Centre (PHC) located close by. They all have been treated and are now out of danger," Kumar said.
The children are being discharged from the PHC one by one, depending on their condition. Government officials have started probe into the incident and samples of the food have been sent for tests.
