2 arrested, large amount of currencies recovered

Two persons were arrested while boarding a Bangkok-bound flight and huge amount of foreign and Indian currencies seized from their possession at the N S C B International airport tonight.
Airport sources said Rs 23 lakh in Indian currency and US Dollar of 2 lakh were found in the possession of Dinesh Yadav and Ravishankar Yadav of Howrah as they were about to board the Thai Airways flight.
The cash, stashed in the baggage, was detected by scanner and the two detained.
They were later taken to custody.
