Acting on a specific information, police laid a surprise check at Rajiv Nagar Chowk here and intercepted two persons in possession with narcotics, a police official said.
During the search, 1.5 kg Ganja and 2.5 kg poppy straw (Bukki) were recovered from Pardeep Kumar and Munna, he said.
Both the accused were arrested by the police along with the substances, he said, adding a case has been registered and investigation is underway.
