Bodies of Shyam Lal and his sister-in-law Diya (40) were recovered from a neibouring house, where they had gone to attend a family function, Station House Officer Rakesh Kumar said.
Police have ruled out death due to spurious liquor even as an empty bottle of liquor was found near the bodies.
The SHO said that a complaint has been received and investigations are underway in this connection.
