Police said J. Mohanraj (31) of Muthukrishnapuram and K Chenthooran alias Chendur Pandi (50) of Thathaneri in Soorangudi were detained under the Goondas Act by District Collector M.Ravikumar on the recommendation of Superintendent of Police M.Durai.
While Pandi was accused of several cases concerning thefts in temples, bike lifting and three incidents of bank robbery attempts, nine cases, including attempt to murder, were filed against Mohanraj in various parts of the district.
