While an explosive weighing five kg was unearthed from Basaguda police station area, another of two kg was recovered from Gangaloor police station limits, a local police official told PTI.
A joint team of CRPFs 85th battalion and District Force while carrying out an area domination operation on Bijapur-Gangaloor road spotted the IED connection near a government high school in Tondapara village, around 450 kms away from here, he said.
Later, the low intensity explosive, packed in a small steel container, hidden beneath the earth on a dirt track was detected there, he said.
The explosives were defused by the bomb disposal squads, he added.
