2 policemen injured in stone-pelting in Baramulla district

Two police personnel including a sub-inspector were injured as groups of youths indulged in stone-pelting at two places in Baramulla district of north Kashmir today, police said.
Groups of youths indulged in stone-pelting on police deployment at Khanpora in Baramulla district after Friday prayers injuring a sub-inspector and a cop, a police spokesman said.
He said stone-pelting was also reported from Palhallan area of Pattan, 27 kms from here, but there was no report of any casualty or injury to any one.
Police sources said security forces exercised maximum restrain during the clashes.
Police fired a few teargas shells and used batons to disperse the youths who were chanting pro-freedom slogans, the sources said.
