Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh police arrested Ajay Singh alias Ajju and Dharamvir last night with the consignment of arms.
On a tip-off that some smugglers will be arriving to hand over a consignment of illegal arms, STF team nabbed the duo near Students Union building, University crossing in Gorakhpur, STF said today.
The gang members used to bring weapons from Munger in Bihar to supply them to different criminal gangs.
Three .32 bore pistols with made in USA label and "only for Army supply" printed on them, four magazines, one .9 mm pistol with one magazine, one .32 bore revolver, three mobile phones and a motorcycle were recovered from them.
