21 IPS officers transferred in Punjab

In a major administrative police reshuffle, the Punjab government today issued the transfer and posting orders of the 21 IPS and six PPS officers including three Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP).
Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the Chief Minister's Office said that a file to this effect was cleared by Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal today.
Among senior IPS officers transfers, ADGP, Intelligence, H S Dhillon has been shifted as ADGP Cum Commandant General Punjab Home Guards and Director Civil Defence while ADGP Dinkar Gupta goes as ADGP Training with additional charge of ADGP Welfare, he said.
ADGP Rohit Chaudhary has been posted as ADGP/ Law &Order Additional Charge of ADGP/ Community Policing. He will also be supervisory ADGP of Special Protection Unit of Punjab.
ADGP Jasminder Singh has been shifted as ADGP Railways with Additional Charge of ADGP Traffic, he said.
IGP Paramjit Singh Grewal goes as IGP Patiala Range while IG Jatinder Jain has been shifted from Intelligence and Counter Intelligence Bathinda to IGP Bathinda Range
IGP Bathinda Range B K Bawa goes as IGP/ IRB Patiala while IGP Gurpreet Deo has been given the charge of IGP/ Prov.
IGP cum Director SNCB Ishwar Singh has been given an additional charge of IGP/ NRI and IGP/ Community Policing.
IGP/ Intelligence Varinder Kumar has been given the posting of IGP/Crime, the spokesman said.
The order for Parveen Kumar Sinha who is IGP Provisioning will be issued later, he said, adding DIG Intelligence R K Jaiswal has been given the charge of IGP Intelligence.
IPS officer Gursharan Singh Sandhu has been posed as DIG Ropar range while K B Singh, who is AIG Transport Chd will now look after the work of DIG Prov. Chd, he said.
AIG Ashish Chaudhary has been posted as DIG Admn -II, CPO Chd while Surinder Kumar Kalia, who is currently SSP Vigilance Bureau EOW, Unit 3 Jalandhar, has been posted as DIG Ludhiana Range.
DIG Ludhiana Range A K Mittal has been given the charge of Joint Director MRS PPA, Phillaur while IPS officer Babu Lal Meena has been posted as DIG PAP Jalandhar.
