22 Crime Branch officials transfered to police lines

Three Sub-inspectors and 19 personnel from Crime Branch were today sent to police lines here on the grounds of unsolved cases and increasing crime in the district, a senior official said today.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shalabh Mathur said that a new Crime Branch team will be formed soon.
Sub-inspectors - Sunil Tiwari, Pradeep Singh and Akhilesh Gaur - have been transferred to district police lines along with 19 other officials from the Branch, he said.
For the last few days, theft, loot, murder and chain- snatching cases have increased significantly. There was also no progress or action taken on the pending cases, he said.
Mathur said that "a team will be formed soon which can deliver results.
