Nepal President Ram Baran Yadav inaugurated the camp, organised at the initiative of Patanjali Yogapeeth Nepal at Tundikhel Open Ground in the heart of Kathmandu, which was attended by many dignitaries, including Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bam Dev Gautam and Chief Justice Ramkumar Prasad Shah.
The five-day Yoga camp started that kicked off today coincided with Nepal's Lokatantra Day, that marks democratic rights getting restored on April 24, 2006 when the Peoples' Movement succeeded in ending the King's direct rule in the country.
During the camp today, Ramdev shared with the Yoga enthusiasts the techniques of the 5,000-year-old Indian physical, mental and spiritual practice that aims to transform body and mind.
The camp is organised with an objective to create positive thinking among the Nepali people by providing physical and mental fitness through Yoga, Pranayam and Ayurveda, said an official at Patanjali Yogapeeth Nepal.
Ramdev is scheduled to visit Janakpur, the birthplace of Sita situated in southern Nepal, to teach Yoga and to Birgunj to inaugurate a herbal factory.
Ramdev will participate in the 102nd week of clean Bagmati campaign being organised in Kirtipur Municipality in the southern Kathmandu Saturday morning.
