The assurance was given by Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajiv Pratap Rudy after BJP member Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma raised the issue.
Verma said Aditya Prakash, a senior section engineer working with railways, was kidnapped about a year ago from Karari station in Jhansi division on May 12, 2014 and his whereabouts are still not known.
His kidnappers, Verma said, used to demand a ranson of Rs 30 lakhs from the parents as well his colleagues.
Prakash belonged to dalit family, he said, suggesting that the government should hand over the case to CBI and ensure his safe return.
