On the directions of district magistrate, the Tronica city police and SDM Loni raided the Yamuna river bank at the village and arrested the trio allegedly belonging to a sand mafia last night.
The accused identified as Imran, Afsaron and Bholi have been sent to jail, SDM Loni Atul Kumar said.
The vehicles carrying illegally mined sand were also seized.
The SDM warned that the district administration will take stringent action against sand mafia.
