Acting on specific inputs, police placed barricade on the highway and impounded a mini truck and a car. 1620 bottles of English wine were seized from the vehicles and three persons arrested, police said.
The liquor was being smuggled to Agra in Uttar Pradesh, they said.
The accused were identified as Jitendra and Dhumpal, both residents of Faridabad and Malkhan Singh from New Delhi, they said.
A case was registered at Palwal city police station under relevant sections of the Excise Act, they said.
