3 held for raping minor girl

Three persons were arrested today for raping a minor girl in Sanand, Ahmedabad rural police said.
The 16-year-old victim lodged complaint with Sanand police station late last night.
The accused raped her various times over the last two years and also threatened her and her family with harm if they filed a complaint, she said. While three of the accused were arrested, three others are yet to be traced.
Those arrested are Siddhraj Chauhan, Akshay Patel and Kiran Kumar alias Vasant Kumar Jani, they said.
They have been booked under Section 366 (kidnapping, abducting or inducing woman to compel her to marriage) and 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
