3 persons run over by speeding train in Lucknow

Three persons trying to cross the railway track were killed after being run over by a speeding train in Alamnagar area near here, police said today.
The victims identified as Neeraj Tiwari, his cousin Sonu and their brother-in-law Bal Krishna Dwiwedi were run over by by Himgiri Express while they were trying to jump the railway crossing at Bhaptamau last night, they said.
The incident occurred when the victims were on their way to attend their friend's marriage in city's Rajajipuram colony, police said.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
Meanwhile, agitated with the incident local residents staged a demonstration.
