3 workers killed in Texas oil field rig explosion
AP Rankin An oil field rig has exploded in Texas, killing three workers.
Investigator Dusty Kilgore said the accident happened Tuesday morning at a well site near Rankin in West Texas.
Kilgore says one other person working at the well survived the blast and was not taken to a hospital.
He did not release the names of those killed.
The well is owned by Parsley Energy of Midland. Kilgore said a pulling unit crew was working at the site when the explosion happened, but he provided no other details.
