"The trawler, which had left from a jetty at Mallim village near here, ran aground at 1.30 am today off Miramar beach," spokesman of lifeguard services here told PTI.
The emergency call was issued to the lifeguard services soon after the crew realised that the choppy sea had left them stranded in water.
The spokesman said that the rescue operation began at 7 am wherein a group of 15 trained lifeguards went to the trawler in a jet-ski and brought all the 31 members to the shore safely.
