34 Excise officials suspended in UP

Thirty-four Excise department officials were suspended on charges of dereliction of duty by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today.
Departmental action had also been ordered against two Assistant Commissioners of the Excise department, an official release said.
Seven Inspectors, six district officials, five Head Constables and 16 Constables, all from the Excise department, had been suspended by the Chief Minister, it said.
Akhilesh had warned the officials that any laxity in duty would not be tolerated and all those found guilty would be punished.
