In a complaint filed at Chainsa police station, Premchand alleged that the criminals barged into his house and tried to kill him but he somehow managed to escape. The incident took place yesterday morning.
A case has been registered under sections 307 (attempt to murder), 452 (house-trespass after preparation for hurt, assault) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the IPC, and relevant provisions of the Arms Act.
The complainant said the assailants were residents of Mohna village but denied having any enmity with them.
