The accident took place late last night at Murkheda village, about 35 kms from here, when the driver of the speeding SUV lost control over the vehicle near a small bridge following which it collided with a car coming from the opposite side, Depalpur police station's assistant sub-inspector R N Sharma said.
Umrao Singh Yadav (60), Mangilal Yadav (65), Kamal Yadav (35) and Krishnanath Yadav (65) were killed on the spot, he said.
The deceased hailed from the district's Karadia village.
The two injured persons, including the car driver, were admitted to a hospital in Indore where the condition of one of them is critical, the ASI said, adding, the matter is being investigated.
