"The five day festival to be held at Shanti Desai Sports Complex, Chandni Chowk, will include musical, poetic, cultural and literary events including panel discussions," said Shobha Vijendra, secretary of the Hardayal library management committee.
The festival was being held on the completion of hundred years of building of the library, which itself was 154 year old, she said.
Established in 1862, the library is presumably the oldest one in Delhi. It was shifted to Chandni Chowk in 1916. After independence, it was renamed Hardayal Library to honour the freedom fighter Lala Hardayal.
