A private bus carrying a marriage party from Banai village to Sahaswan collided with a bus near Mujaria village under Kotwali Ujhani police station area killing five people including the driver, they said.
The deceased have been identified as Meharban (50), Zaheer (42), Anwar (39), Arman (21) and the driver Salim (50), district magistrate Chandra Prakash Tripathi said.
He said 62 injured passengers were admitted to local hospitals while six others, seriously injured, were rushed to Bareilly.
