Zafar Azmi, a tannery technician at Jajmau and his son met with an accident after their car lost control and hit a pole near the Golf Club area yesterday, leading to Azmi's death and severely injuring his son, police said.
The car had shredded into pieces after the impact of the accident, they added.
The father-son duo was taken to a hospital, where the doctors declared Azmi dead, police said, adding, the son is being treated.
The body of the deceased has been sent for postmortem, police added.
