"A truck with 600 cartons of smuggled foreign liquor was seized today. The alcohol was being transported to Bulandshar," District Excise Officer Kuldeep Yadav said.
"Two persons namely, Rajinder and Satinder were arrested in this connection. They confessed that the consignment was meant for distribution in the Panchayat elections," he said.
The seized liquor was made in a distillery in Haryana, he added.
