"979 cases were resolved at lok adalats held at district courts yesterday which included 598 petty cases in which fine of Rs 1.09 lakh recovered," Justice R C M Yadav, Civil Judge (Senior Division) and Secretary, District Legal Services Authority said today.
In three motor accident claim cases, Rs 9.38 lakh was awarded as compensation to the victims, he said.
Other cases resolved included four marital cases, 32 related with Electricity Act, 11 diwani cases and seven juvenile justice board cases, he said adding at Tehsil courts, 55 petty cases and 262 revenue cases were resolved.
