busted and a huge quantity of explosives seized by security forces in Malkangiri district today.
Acting on an information about several Maoists camping in the area, a team of Border Security Force (BSF) and police launched an operation in Manyamkonda reserve forest area, police said.
When the security personnel reached the site, the red rebels fled leaving behind a huge stock of explosives, arms and ammunition.
While the naxal camp was demolished, the security personnel carries out a thorough search operation in the forest and recovered explosive materials including 27 gelatine sticks and around 100 detonators, they said.
