The incident took place in East Delhi's Kondli area.
However, police said there have been two FIRs registered in this connection with the women of the other party claiming that they were held hostage and beaten up by the MLA and his supporters while Kumar and his associates alleged the other group vandalized their office in which they were injured.
The police said they have not made any arrests in the case so far and are verifying the claims of both the sides. Initially, it seems the two groups clashed over water supply in Kondli village, police said.
They also claimed Kumar and two others, identified as Pankaj Pandey and Ravi, sustained minor injuries in the alleged attack. The trio were taken to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital and discharged after first-aid.
