The party, however, alleged that this was an attempt to shield the corrupt officials.
Jawad police in the district arrested Agrawal and others last night for manhandling, preventing government officials from discharging their duty, threatening and under the provisions of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, District Superintendent of Police Manoj Singh said.
They were also charged with extorting money.
The police were probing the motive of AAP activists behind launching 'operation barrier', he said.
The police also arrested AAP women cell's district coordinator Rajendra Kaur, Rizwana Khan, Chandresh Sen and Abdul Razzaq, taking the total number of arrested persons in the case to seven.
AAP's national spokesperson and Madhya Pradesh coordinator Alok Agrawal alleged in a statement here that the arrests was "an attempt to shield the corrupt persons".
