ACB arrests government official for accepting a bribe

An assistant registrar posted at the Divisional Co-operative Office in Warangal district of Telangana state was caught by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly accepting Rs 60,000 as bribe.
Assistant registrar T Krishna Murthy was caught red handed by ACB officials while accepting a Rs 60,000 bribe from a complainant in order to not recommend police action for irregularities by the complainant, an ACB release said here.
The bribe amount was recovered from the Assistant Registrar and he has been arrested, the ACB release said.
The case is under investigation, the ACB release said.
