BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha today termed the situation following demonetisation as "chaotic" and demanded that accountability should be fixed as Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been let down by his team members.
Sinha praised "dashing, dynamic and action-hero" Modi for his "bold, wise and timely" move to curb black money but also blamed the government for its "faulty" execution while speaking to reporters outside parliament.
"Accountability should be fixed for the chaotic situation. The Prime Minister has been let down by his team and those in the government responsible for it should be identified," he said.
He also questioned the restrictions imposed on withdrawal of money, saying people are being prevented from claiming their own money. "What kind of drama is this?" he wondered.
Taking a dig over the claims that demonetisation is a surgical strike against black money, he said, "The government's team should have done their homework. Don't you think it was their responsibility to take care of post surgical strike situation as well."
Sinha, who has often criticised the government and his party, also sought using the services of Arun Shourie, Yashwant Sinha and Subramanian Swamy to disseminate the official message as they enjoy clean image.
Shourie and Yashwant Sinha, who were ministers in the Vajpayee government, have been critical of the current dispensation while Swamy has often attacked Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
Apparently referring to Shourie's comments in which he hasd taken a swipe at the measure, the cine star and former union minister said he had made "good" points.
The poor and the lower and middle classes have been waiting in queue to get money to buy food and medicine, he said.

"Once again congratulate & salute our PM @narendramodi. However I'm disappointed with some of us in our team who mismanaged by poor planning," he tweeted.
".....But accountability must be fixed as to who are responsible among us for creating so much unpleasantness and anarchy...," Sinha wrote on the microblogging site.
"Reliefs being announced today should have been declared from day 1-not after & at the cost of lives of poor people. PM can't be blamed....," the actor-turned BJP leader said.
He also said, "We should have been ready with a plan of how and what to do to not hurt people. Most of them are poor - and let us not forget - also our voters."
"It seems no proper homework was done before taking such a big step and involving the Prime Minister's name in it," he told
