Adam Sandler tops most overpaid actors' list

Actor Adam Sandler, who reportedly earns USD 15 million per movie has topped a list of the most overpaid actors.
Forbes magazine has come up with '10 Most Overpaid Actors' through an assessment based on the stars' last three projects over the past three years up to June 1, 2012. Their average return on investment was calculated with pay, movie budgets and expenses data.
While Sandler's 'Grown Ups 2' did well with USD 246 million against a budget of USD 80 million, his other films 'Jack and Jill' and 'That's My Boy' were the opposite. He is estimated to return only USD 3.40 for every USD 1 paid.
'The Ugly Truth' star Katherine Heigl follows at the second spot with an average USD 3.50 return for every dollar she was paid.
Reese Witherspoon rounds up the top three list by delivering around USD 3.90 for each dollar paid. Nicolas Cage and Kevin James occupy the fourth and fifth places respectively.
Outside the top 5, actress Jennifer Aniston sits at number 8 behind Denzel Washington and Steve Carell.
The actress, who is reported to have earned USD 5 million per film is estimated to pay back around USD 10.60 for every dollar she was paid.
