Additional SP killed in road mishap

The Additional Superintendent of Police of Nabarangpur was today killed and his driver seriously injured in a road mishap near Ichhapur town.
The mishap took place when the jeep in which ASP Ashok Nayak was travelling to Berhampur for a meeting dashed against a stationary truck in the wee hours, police said.
Nayak and jeep driver Mangu Maharana were taken to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur where the police officer was declared dead, they said.
Maharana is undergoing treatment at the hospital and his condition is stated to be serious.
